But now that you make me think about it I think you're right. There is a supernatural aspect, but the way is dealt with didn't make me think "aha, ghost story!", but I suppose it's not plain realistic so..

I haven't read these authors yet, but I know I will in the future. Especially the blue sword. I have lent it to someone, but it hasn't come back to me yet, so I guess I will have to borrow it from someone else!valentinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01568749601493955929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2471059094266852621.post-14627985247349638432009-01-27T04:38:00.000+00:002009-01-27T04:38:00.000+00:00This is definitely a list that is conspicuous beca...This is definitely a list that is conspicuous because of the things it leaves off, but I still like the variety of the list. My favorite, however, was the Blue Sword, by Robin McKinnley, whom I just discovered is writing again.

DW Golden
Soar with Fairies in a new young adult novel: Purple ButterfliesAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2471059094266852621.post-77798182074132339972009-01-25T21:34:00.000+00:002009-01-25T21:34:00.000+00:00I've just done this meme and I've read 22. I realize this involves personal beliefs, though, so it's not uncontroversial... but as a skeptic I do think of ghost stories as a branch of fantasy. Anyway, I've seen Morrisson referred to as an author of "magical realism" several times, and I tend to think of "magic realism" as fantasy in a tuxedo :PAna S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16092495983972185943noreply@blogger.com
